New Knowledge Exchange Manager joins the ICMS

5 Jun 2023

We are delighted to welcome our new Knowledge Exchange Manager, Lauren Hyndman, to the ICMS team. Lauren joins us from the University of Glasgow, where she worked as a Research Associate developing mathematical models with applications to drug discovery and medical devices in collaboration with industrial partners. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a BSc in Mathematics (first class honours) from the University of Strathclyde.

Lauren joins the ICMS at a particularly exciting time for knowledge exchange, with the recent appointment of seven researchers to our inaugural Knowledge Exchange Catalyst Programme, the European Study Group with Industry taking place in Edinburgh in July, and the set-up of the new UK Knowledge Exchange Hub for Mathematical Sciences (“KE Hub”).

“We are delighted to welcome Lauren to the team. Her strong background in mathematical sciences, her experience of industrial collaboration, and her inherent enthusiasm come together to make her a wonderful appointment. Everyone at ICMS is looking very much forward to working with her. ”

Minhyong Kim, Director, International Centre for Mathematical Sciences.

“I am excited by the variety this role will bring and I am looking forward to working alongside people from different backgrounds and promoting the mathematical sciences to help drive innovation. Knowledge Exchange is all about people, please do get in touch to introduce yourself!”
