The ICMS announces its inaugural Knowledge Exchange Catalyst recipients

25 Apr 2023

The ICMS is delighted to announce the seven recipients of its inaugural Knowledge Exchange (KE) Catalyst Programme.

The KE Catalyst is a secondment scheme, which enables an academic to spend between 3 and 6 months developing a KE partnership in direct collaboration with an industry or public sector partner, and promoting additional KE activity within the UK mathematical sciences community.

The seven funded researchers are from institutions across the UK, and their projects span multiple different areas of the mathematical sciences, with partners, including Caterpillar, the Met Office, and the NHS, representing a variety of sectors.

“The ICMS is very pleased to be supporting such strong applicants proposing such a variety of interesting and impactful projects. Our new programme aligns well with the activities of the UK Knowledge Exchange Hub in Mathematical Sciences, and all awardees will liaise with ICMS’s KE Manager during the course of their projects to ensure that maximum impact is realised. We look forward to disseminating their project outcomes!” - Professor Minhyong Kim, Director, International Centre for Mathematical Sciences.
