  • Linton is the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Loughborough University.

  • After obtaining his PhD from the University of Bristol in 1988‌, he moved to Loughborough in 1993 and served for six years as Head of the School of Mathematics and was Dean of the Faculty of Science.

  • Linton's research focuses on mathematical techniques associated with wave diffraction theory.
