Accommodation within walking distance of ICMS

Important information

We are aware of a very convincing scam targeting participants in mathematical research events. These scammers may telephone or email you and tell you that they are organising accommodation in Edinburgh for you on behalf of ICMS. If you are approached by a third party (eg Business Travel Management) asking for booking or payment details, please ignore. ICMS will never ask you for credit/debit card information.

Local hotels

ICMS will often arrange accommodation for participants at events but on the occassions when we aren't able to do that here are some suggestions for accommodation close to ICMS, all of which have been used by ICMS visitors in the past.

• Ibis Hotel on South Bridge (not Hunter Square). Five minutes to ICMS.
• Ten Hill Place A three minute walk to ICMS.
• Premier Inn Lauriston Place This hotel is less than ten minutes away from ICMS.
• Motel One Edinburgh (Please note that Motel One has two hotels in the city centre - Motel One Royal or Motel One Princes.  Both are within easy walking distance of ICMS)
• Pollock Halls of Residence, The University of Edinburgh, 18 Holyrood Park Road, Edinburgh EH16 5AY 0800 028 7118 (UK only) - +44 (0)131 651 2189 - University of Edinburgh accommodation. Pollock Halls is about a 20-minute walk to ICMS.
• Leonardo Royal Hotel, Edinburgh, 43 Jeffrey Street, Edinburgh EH1 1DH. A ten minute walk to ICMS.
• Travelodge has a number of hotels in walking distance from ICMS, including St. Mary's Street, Waterloo Place and Rose Street.
• KM Apartments located 5 minutes away from ICMS, at 5-9 Richmond Place.
• Novotel less than ten minutes away from Bayes centre where ICMS is located.
