Nonlinear PDEs in Micromagnetism: Analysis, Numerics and Applications

 13 - 15 May 2013

ICMS, 15 South College Street Edinburgh

Scientific Organisers:

  • Lubomir Banas, University of Bielefeld
  • Zdzislaw Brzezniak, University of York
  • Andreas Prohl, University of Tuebingen

About:

The aim of the workshop was to bring together experts from analysis, numerical mathematics, modelling and applications to stimulate discussion and facilitate idea exchanges. We identified areas where it could benefit from interactions with other disciplines and where such collaboration could lead to significant advances in the solution of theoretical and practical micromagnetic problems and nonlinear partial differential equations.

Speakers:

  • Francois Alouges, Ecole Politechnique

  • Giorgio Bertotti, Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica

  • Gilles Carbou, Universite Bordeaux 1
