The team at ICMS has once again grown, to welcome new team members Alex Liu and Lauren Hockenhull.

Alex joined ICMS in March as a Conference Co-ordinator in the rapidly growing Events Team. She joins us from the events and festivals world, having earned a Master's degree in International Event and Festival Management, and having worked in theatres and on concerts in China. Some notable productions she's worked on include Turandot, Phantom of the Opera, and War Horse. She has been working in events since 2015 and has a diverse range of experience that she hopes to apply to the world of academic workshops here at ICMS!

Lauren joined the team in April in the new role of Communications and Engagement Manager. She joins us from Edinburgh's science centre, Dynamic Earth, and has worked for several years in the field of science communication and public engagement in Edinburgh and across Scotland. She's passionate about improving the diversity of people we see in maths, and encouraging new, historically excluded audiences to find the fun and beauty of maths. She loves data (particularly website analytics!) and is looking forward to using this to help ICMS reach as many people as possible!
