12th Annual UK Meeting on Integrable Models, Conformal Field Theory and Related Topics - A Meeting of the Mathematical and Theoretical Physics Group of the IoP

This meeting is the twelfth in a series of annual one-day meetings on this topic. The main aims of the meeting are:

  • To act as a venue for the dissemination, explanation and discussion of recent exciting results in this field.
  • To promote communication and collaboration within the UK Integrable Models and Conformal Field Theory community, and to bring mathematicians and physicists working in this area together.
  • To act as a forum for young researchers to present their work and to become known and integrated into the community.

This meeting is funded by the LMS and the Mathematical and Theoretical Physics Group of the IoP.

Registration Fee
There will be a 20.00 GBP registration fee, which will be waived for students and reduced for IoP Mathematical and Theoretical Physics Group members.

We have some funds to support research students. All research students are welcome to ask for financial support, but preference will be given to those who cannot otherwise obtain support.



The meeting will run from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm on Friday 11 April and from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturday the 12 April.

The workshop will take place at the head-quarters of ICMS, 14 India Street, Edinburgh. This house is the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell and is situated in the historic New Town of Edinburgh, near the city centre.

The ICMS travel pages contain advice on how to travel to Edinburgh. For local information the finding ICMS page shows the location of ICMS and contains useful maps of the city centre.

The seminar room at ICMS has 4 whiteboards, 2 overhead projectors, a data projector and laptop.

Wireless access is available throughout the ICMS building. There are also 7 public PCs which may be used at any time for internet access and to check email.

Meals and Refreshments
Refreshments will be provided at the venue.

A Workshop Dinner will take place on Friday 11 April at 20.00 at Nargile. The cost will be £25 payable at registration. Please indicate on the application form it you would like to attend and please specify any dietary requirements.
