SIR CRISPIN TICKELL
Edinburgh International Science Festival
The Environment: A Marriage of Disciplines
12 April 1996
Sir Crispin Tickell, Warden of Green College Oxford, is a leading
international expert on the Environment. In this lecture he will
demonstrate the multidisciplinary nature and international aspects of
environmental issues. Sir Crispin is Director of the Green College
Centre for Environmental Policy and Understanding. He is also Chairman
of the Government's Advisory Committee on the Darwin Initiative, and
Chairman of the Climate Institute of Washington DC.
The lecture will take place on 12 April 1996 at 4.30 pm in Lecture
Theatre 1, Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh. For tickets contact

This lecture is the first of a series of lectures which are intended to
demonstrate to a wide audience the significance and applicability of
mathematics in a broad range of situations. The lecture will
concentrate on the use of information technology in retailing. It will
take place at Stirling University on 16 April 1996 at 6.30 pm. For
