Conference ArrangementsVenue The
meeting will take place in the lecture theatre of the Michael Swann Building of
the University of Edinburgh. This is within the Kings Buildings Complex to the
south of Edinburgh City Centre. Break-out rooms and email facilities will be
available in the nearby James Clerk Maxwell Building. The maps available
here indicate the
location of Kings Buildings.
Accommodation Accommodation
(single rooms with a shared bathroom) has been reserved in
Pollock Halls, a student residence
near the centre of Edinburgh. Rooms are available from the evening of Sunday 20
July to the morning of Sunday 27 July. If you wish to book Pollock Halls
accommodation, you are advised to Register early as rooms will be allocated on
a first-come first-serve basis.
Meals and refreshments
Refreshments will be provided during the five full days of the meeting.
Evening meals have been booked at Pollock Halls (for those reserving
accommodation) for the evenings of Monday 21, Wednesday 23, Thursday 24 and
Friday 25 July.
A combined Buffet and Registration is planned at
Pollock Halls on the evening of arrival (Sunday 20 July) to which all
participants are invited. It will be held in St Leonards Hall from 1830 to
2100.
The conference banquet (to which members of the Hodge family have
been invited) will take place in the Playfair Library on Tuesday 22 July and
will cost around £30. Follow this link for more

FINANCIAL MATTERS
1.
Registration Fee A Registration fee of £35 is payable, usually
one month before the meeting begins.
2. Meeting costs The
costs will be invoiced prior to the meeting and must be paid at the very latest
at Registration.
(a) Residential Fee - £265 This covers dinner,
bed and breakfast (in a standard room) from the evening of Sunday 20 July to
the morning of Sunday 27 July, refreshments during the conference, the
Registration Buffet on Sunday 20 July and evening meals on Monday 21, Wednesday
23, Thursday 24 and Friday 25 July
(b) Non-residential Fee - £35
To cover the Registration Buffet and refreshments during the meeting.
(c) Conference Banquet (optional). A dinner has been arranged for the evening
of Tuesday 22 July. The cost of this will be around £30.

Financial Support There are some funds available to support
participants. Those applying for support will know the result of their
application by the end of March.
(a) The EC have allocated a sum to
assist EU nationals who are under the age of 35. The award will cover up to
100% of the conference costs, the Registration Fee and reasonable travel costs.
The awards are limited in number and will be allocated by the organisers
(b) ICMS has funds from the LMS and EPSRC to assist UK mathematicians
who wish to attend the meeting and stay in Pollock Halls accommodation. Each
award is worth £200 and will be deducted from the total invoice.
