Workshop arrangements
Venue
The Workshop will be held at the headquarters of ICMS at 14 India Street. This house is the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell and is situated in the historic New Town of Edinburgh, very near the centre. Facilities include email and rooms suitable for small discussion meetings.The ICMS travel pages show the location of India St and have links to pages with advice on how to get to Edinburgh and travel around once here.
Accommodation
ICMS staff will arrange bed and breakfast accommodation for those who require it, at approx. £40 per night.Meals and Refreshments
Morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided at the venue. Lunch will not be provided, but there are many bars and restaurants locally.There will be an informal Wine and Cheese Reception at ICMS immediately after the meeting on Monday, 29th. On Tuesday, 30th an optional Conference dinner has been arranged, at a cost of £20 (3 courses with wine).
Registration
From 9 to 10 AM, at 14 India Street, on Monday, 29th April.Costs
(a) Registration fee of £20 (includes all refreshments and the wine and cheese reception on 29th)(b) Accommodation (where arranged by ICMS)
(c) Conference dinner (if you choose to attend)
You will be invoiced by ICMS and payment should be made prior to the meeting, or at the very latest, at Registration.
Financial Support
- If you are a member of the TMR Network ERB FMRX CT-97-0107 you may be able to reclaim your costs form your network node.
- Postgraduate students at UK universities may apply for a grant form the LMS that will cover the costs of accommodation, the Registration fee and up to £50 towards the cost of travel.
- Limited funds are available for other scientists working in UK universities. The award will again cover the costs of accommodation, the Registration fee and up to £50 towards the cost of travel.
