Workshop Arrangements
Venue
The Workshop will be held at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22 George Street, in the city-centre. This is a short walk from the head-quarters of ICMS at 14 India Street. This house, the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell, will also be available for use of participants during the workshop. Facilities include email and rooms suitable for small discussion meetings. We have reserved two different types of accommodation:- Single study-bedrooms at
Pollock
Halls, a University of Edinburgh student residence just to the south-east
of the city-centre. Breakfast and evening meals will also be available
there.
This accommodation is currently full. - Single study-bedrooms in Napier University self-catering flats (sharing with 4 others) just to the south of the city centre. Continental breakfast will be provided but not evening meals.

Financial matters
1 Registration fee
This Fee of £50 is payable one month prior to the meeting.2 Course costs
The costs will be invoiced prior to the meeting and must be paid at the very latest by the start of the Course.(a) Residential
- Pollock Halls - £200 (currently full)
This covers dinner, bed and breakfast from the evening of Sunday 9th July to the morning of Saturday 15th July, and refreshments during the 5 days of the Workshop. The evening meal will be in the Pollock Hall dining room on each night except Monday 10th, when there will be a Conference Dinner, and Friday 14th, when there will be a buffet at ICMS.
- Napier University Self Catering Flats - around £130
(exclusive of VAT, which will probably not be charged).
This covers bed and breakfast from Sunday 9th to Saturday 15th July, refreshments on the 5 days of the workshop and a buffet at ICMS on Friday 14th. It is possible to arrive on Saturday 8th at no extra charge.

(c) Conference Dinner
A Dinner is planned for the evening of Monday 10th July. It is expected that part of the cost will be subsidised. Further details and an indication of the cost will be notified in you confirmation letter.
3 Financial Support
The organisers have funds from the ESF PRODYN programme to support the attendance of European PhD students and post-docs. The awards are limited in number and should cover the majority of the local costs and contribute towards travel. Those wishing to apply for funding should indicate this in Section 3 on the General Application Form and complete the Application for Financial Support Form.There is no other financial support available. Please do not apply for support form the workshop unless it is clear that you are eligible.
