Centre for Analysis and Partial Differential Equations (CANPDE)
Research workshops and instructional conferences
The Centre was established in 2007 as a joint project of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt Universities to stimulate and support the development of the research base in theoretical nonlinear PDE in the Maxwell Institute and in the UK. It is funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Scottish Funding Council
The Centre was formally launched on 14th November 2007 with a mini-symposium at the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Edinburgh given by Patrick Gerard (University of Paris Sud) and Ari Laptev (Imperial College, London).
ICMS undertake administration concerning research workshops and instructional conferences for the Centre.
